Happy #medalmonday #headbandmonday (with pictures from #toughmudderberlinbrandenburg 😅 as I don`t want to buy the pics from last weekend 😬) The second and last #toughmudder in 🇩🇪 is over Nmber 54 and 55 are in the books (Still feels wrong getting 2 in one day also it`s totally `legal` now as all distances counts towards Legionairs Status and also 2 races in one day when you book and pay for both 🙈 but somehow I need to get forward as it`s still 20 TMs to go until the next color 🤣) It was nice again to Meet the Team. So crazy that w already ran 6 years ago togethee at #toughmuddereifel , we only got to know each other bc of TM and still running together 🧡🤗 Sadly only one day again 🥲 and Mudderhorn Wasn`t there, the obstacles are not the same anymore and the atmosphare is different since Covid19 😔 But still nice to get back where my `OCR career` and to see part of my #ocrfamily again for a little bit of fun and not always racing Looking forward to #worldstoughestmudder next year in the UK 🇬🇧 to see my british Mudders again 🤩 . . . #mudbusters_ocr #mudbusters_nord #ocr #ocragermany #ocrathlete #toughmuddereurope #toughmudderdeutschland #toughmuddergermany #toughertogether #toughmudderNRWeifel

WTM ‘23!! 5th year of doing this race and always presents its own different challenges each year! I always come back to this race because I never know what to expect and this year was no different! I went into this race with knowledge of an issue of my right foot that had caused me not to run for the 2 weeks prior coming into the race. I had taped it up and for the duration of the race it actually held up and felt fine though other areas slowed me up. At points I even questioned if I was going to finish but I just kept moving no matter what that meant and towards the end that meant a lot of walking. I did the math in my head and knew I was going to make the 75 mile mark but fall short of that 80 mile goal I’ve had the past few years. Out of the 5 years I’ve ran this race this was the 3rd time I reached 75 miles, but I just wanted to break that 75 mile ceiling. I’m still proud of completing what I did for this race and guess that just means see you next year WTM! • • • • • #toughmudder #worldstoughestmudder #wtm #toughmuddertexas #ultrarunning #trailrunning #obstaclecourseracing #ocr

APPRECIATION POST!!!
As I crossed the finish line my body just wanted to finally sit down. The first person to walk over to me after I finished was my coach dee_jay_fox he extended a hand to help me up, but I just wanted to sit there so he bent down and gave me a hug and told me great job. It was awesome seeing him throughout the race in the pit encouraging me each lap and giving me tips. He has been amazing to work with over the past year and I wouldn’t have achieved the 85 miles this year without his help.
The second person to come over to me was my wife themichellelippert and our baby girl Lizzie. At that moment I started crying. I was happy/relieved the race was over and in a lot of pain, but also upset that I didn’t reach my goal. I came up 3 laps short of hitting 100 miles. Michelle has been amazing over the past 11 months with all of the training I’ve been doing. She never gave me a hard time about the countless hours and miles of training I was doing. Honestly I felt like I let her down because I had worked so hard for this race and didn’t hit my goal. I set this goal back in 2019 and this year I finally felt I had done enough to achieve it, but that wasn’t the case.
After reflecting over the past few days since the end of the race, I know I can make this goal a reality. So DJ you ready to run it back one more time and help get me that 100 Mile Jacket in 2024? I am ready to grind it out for another year.

I said that my 3rd World’s Toughest Mudder in 2017 was my last. Here we are, 6 years later, and I completed my 8th this weekend.
Luckily, this community is full of the most generous and kind-hearted people I know, and they were there to get my head right and get me to the start line.
You never remember the hurt, the pain, and the suck after the race. You only remember the hugs, the love and the feeling of accomplishment that can only be earned through suffering with your family.

I’m still in disbelief. There is no way I could have accomplished this with out the most incredible people in my corner. diryen2, randimoose and elliot.rueb, I wasn’t even your first responsibility, and yet you took such good care of me. Even when I got sassy at mile 45, you put up with me. Thank you for caring for me and pushing me beyond my limits, but most importantly, thank you for believing in me and making me get back out there and keep moving for all 25 hours. Y’all are my super heroes!
viking_ocr , thank you for answering every phone call and enduring all my endless questions about training. You’ve been there and have pushed me every single race this year, and have been so supportive. I can’t thank you enough and I’m beyond proud of you and what you have accomplished this year! So many more races and miles to come!!
Looking forward to WTM 2024 in the Sunshine State! ☀️ . . . #WTM #worldstoughestmudder #toughmudder #running #trailrunning

Earned another jacket and another gold age group medal.
I used to think I was never capable of achieving one of these… now I have two. You can do anything you set your mind to.
No one cares when you toe the line what your past is, or what has happen to you.
No one cares that my wife died 3 months ago and I’m on my own with 3 kids.
They don’t care that I got Covid a week out for the biggest race of my life. That I went from being in the best shape of my life to hardly able to breath if I exerted any effort.
They don’t care that I had to start in the open wave and was stuck behind hundreds of runners to start the race.
You can either make excuses or make your dreams come true.
I told Karen I was going to be a World Champion. She said, “make it happen.”
When I tested positive for Covid my first thought was, “it’s not going to matter.” My mind was made up, nothing would stop me. I downplayed how I felt, I wasn’t going to give it power.
In the race I overcame the time lost starting behind. I overcame not getting special treatment like being able to skip to the front of lines at obstacles sense I didn’t have a black elite bib on.
My goals were clear. I insured I had a team behind me that new those goals and would keep me on track.
If you’re not able to write your goals down, to say them out load, to share them with those you trust. You don’t actually believe you can achieve them. And if you don’t believe, they aren’t going to happen.
The picture of the text is what I sent to my friends and family who wanted to be apart of my team.
The race plan is one I outlined for myself well before I got to the race.
Get serious. State your goals. Overcome any obstacles that get in your way.

This year World’s Toughest Mudder looked a little different for me than it has in the past. I’ve run 5 of these 24 hour events, but haven’t ever been on the pit crew/spectator side until this year. Last year I participated while pregnant with Jaxon. This year I thought I’d be running and thought it would be a really cool challenge to see what I could push myself to do without any real training but decided that wasn’t the best choice for my body 4.5 months postpartum while still breastfeeding. A little piece of me would have liked to be out on that course, but I’m content with my decision to support this year and feel it was the right choice☺️
Not only were we able to watch people achieve some amazing goals this weekend we were able to have some very precious family time. WTM was in Granbury, Texas this year. This is about 1.5 hours away Michael’s grandparents, which meant Jaxon got to meet his great grandparents❤️ His grandparents also flew down to Texas to spend time with us and be there for the meeting. We also have family in Kansas City who welcomed us on our drive down and will be welcoming us again soon on our way home!
It’s been a fairly go go go busy week with lots of time in the car & ongoing lack of sleep, but these sweet memories we’ve been making sure do make up for it!

worldstoughestmudder 2023 was so different from 2022. In spite of discovering what it feels like to be in the “pain cave” from the beginning, it was so fun. This community is everything.🤗 My goal was to push myself for the entire 24hrs, at whatever pace my body would allow, and that’s exactly what I did.
80 official miles completed. 5th Woman, 1st AG
I thought this would be my last WTM but I’m thinking I’ll be there in 2024 and will plan my year a little differently 😁😁

I am just in complete awe of you Greg James iamgreg_james 😍 . Over the weekend, Greg ran his third Worlds Toughest Mudder, a 24 hr run and obstacle race, while it was my first time pitting for him, being his crew and support system throughout the race. The course was a 5 mile loop with 20+ obstacles in the Texas heat, starting at 12pm Saturday and going to 12pm Sunday . It was quite an experience for both of us. Greg was cruising and after each lap, came back to me in the quickpit with a smile on his face, spirits still high. We made sure he had nutrition, any gear he needed, and we sent him back out . Overnight, temperatures dropped, calories were expended, and he came back to me mentally and physically worn out. It would make anyone quit right then and there and call it a night. But not Greg. He is the most mentally strong and tough people i know. We gave him what he needed, some warmth, lots of calories, and he got back on his feet and out there in the dark and cold for 2 more laps! He won in that moment. In the moment where his body was spent, his mental strength wearing out, he got up and finished what he started . He was one of the last on the course, and i even went out there to finish his last lap with him (second slide) running across the finish line with him was a moment of pure elation and accomplishment for him, and for me to be able to support him throughout the whole night and watch him cross the finish . Greg, you are a superhuman. You inspired everyone out there with your persistence and tenacity, even when you had every reason to quit. You succeeded by pushing through and you and I both came out stronger on the other side, as individuals and as partners, learning from each other and the experience itself . Proud is an understatement. I am honored and humbled to be by your side and to have supported you through this race. This is just the beginning of all you are going to accomplish, and i know you will use this experience to inspire everyone around you . Give iamgreg_james a huge congratulations for crushing WTM 2023! . I love you baby 😘 . . #proudgirlfriend #proudcoach #worldstoughestmudder #ultraracing #ultrarunner #ultramarathon #wtm2023

What’s it like to race for 24 hours straight?
To encounter obstacle after obstacle only to arrive back where you started and faced with the decision of whether to stop or keep going.
To know that no one can do it for you. To know that all the work gives you no guarantees. To know you can do everything in your power and things may not work out…
It feels a lot like battling cancer.
It’s relentless. It takes everything you have. The only hope you have is in your next step. You must stay completely present and work to control only what your truly can.
Only when you realize just how precious every single breath is will you stop wasting them and start living life to its fullest.
I watched her take her last breath. I could easily just lay low, do the minimum, who would blame me? That would be such dishonoring way to live.
We must honor those who have gone before us by using our gifts, our passion, and our love to its full potential.
Maybe I’m not the one that’s crazy. Maybe most of us are just settling for way less than we can be.
If there is a spark inside you, something that calls out, listen. Don’t shove it down or hide it. Don’t worry what others will say or think. There will always be haters and naysayers. Let that be their problem, not yours.
Keep doing hard things. Keep being where your feet are. 🫶

How Worlds started vs. how it finished
This was one hell of an experience
I didn’t hit my mileage goal, but I had a blast working towards
Big shout out to the_kingcarter3 he had never done any race other than a half marathon before this, and decided to go right for the big one. The 24 hour obstacle course race. I can’t say enough how proud I am of him. Love ya brother!
HUGE HUGE HUGE shoutout to torjune_ for being our pit crew. She was a one gal wrecking crew making sure we were hydrated and eating enough calories
A special shout-out to jakearvold aka_badash_ and 1stphorm for the care package of protein bars and sticks those were CLUTCH!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!
As soon as the race ended, Richard and I looked at each other and said “can’t wait for next year!!!”
So I guess you’ll see us next year World’s Toughest Mudder! THAT 50 MILE BIB AND 75 MILE BELT BUCKLE WILL BE MINE

WORLDS TOUGHEST MUDDER 2023 COMPLETE!!!! Wow what a race. I prepared all year for this race and the goal was to run 100 miles. Well funny thing is I ran 102.5 miles accordingly to my watch, but only 85 miles counted. The additional 17.5 miles was all penalty miles from failed obstacles. Once the upper body grip obstacles opened up they got wet and muddy pretty quick and my hands kept slipping off. I learned a lot from this race and know what I need to work on going forward and what obstacles I need to build in my backyard.
I officially got 11th Place Overall and 4th Age Group. This is the best overall finish and most miles I have ran to date at Worlds.
Huge thanks to my wife themichellelippert and my sister ahurley07 for being the best pit crew.
Also huge shoutout to my favorite running buddy stephy_bs for killing it out there and getting 3rd Place Overall Female. Happy we got to run a lot of laps together.
Thanks to my coach dee_jay_fox for the last year of training and being there at the race supporting me and cheering me on.
2024 Worlds Toughest Mudder - Central Florida. I am still undecided about next year, I am going to let my body recover then make a decision for next year. Ultimate goal is still 100 Official Miles and I will eventually achieve that.

Fear is but a construct Our limitations aren’t set by our physicality but by our ability to put mind over matter and get the work done no matter what. I’ve fallen before but I have not failed. Dust off get up and keep going. There is no glass ceiling and if there is bust that shit down and soar thru the sky!!!!! #toughmudder #worldstoughestmudder #ocrathlete #lyftlyfeambassador #lyftlyfeapparel

Another WTM in the books. 50 miles officially, 60 miles in reality, across 24 hours. My 10th return to World’s Toughest Mudder proved to be as challenging if not more than I could have expected, but I could have never done it without my amazing OCR family who supported me more than I honestly deserve. #worldstoughestmudder #teamfoureyes

I told you yesterday that today really didn’t matter. It was about the journey. All that is true but don’t for a second think I would allow that to be an excuse to not give everything I could.
I won way before this race started. I’m beyound blessed.
To my amazing children, Hailey, Jackson, and Leo. I love you will all of my heart. You inspired me to be the best version of myself that I can possibly be.
Today we become a World championship family. Though we didn’t need the title to know that.
I ran 90 miles in 24 hours. I was first in the world for my age group, and 7th overall in the whole world competing with the most elite athletes on the planet.
Fun side note, I’ve never ran more then 31 miles in one day! You can do anything you set your mind to and work hard enough for.
Also my first Tough Mudder event every! 🙌🫶🔥
To all of you, everyone who has checked in on us, cheered for us, and loved us. You are a huge part of this. Thank you. 🙏❤️
More to come, I’m gonna try and rest a little. Everything hurts. 😂

Made my goal and got that 50 mile bib! Could I have gone for two more laps to make 60? Yeah but I didn’t feel like pushing it further for my sanity and my body! Best and worst time of my life! 😂 love my community here at #worldstoughestmudder! Thanks to all my friends new and old!

Infusion day! And I have a buddy with me today who is on spring break. He gets weirded out by the IV but as he gets older he is more and more curious about the whole infusion process. I’ll have to take a few days off training to rest…. toughmudder training to be continued on Monday 💪💪

toughmudder #toughestmudder Philly… what an amazing time. It’s been a compressed month and a half with green_beret_fitness Fandance / Buckwheat followed by spartan Jersey #ultrafecta and then rednewtracing Breakneck marathon and now Toughest. First time I’ve gone all night long with no breaks, only hit the pit to change shoes and refill. Locked in with mike_fitness_87 early on and we paced each other well through lap 6. By the end of 6 going into 7 I still hadn’t been passed by tough_lil_peanut who was almost a full lap ahead of me… so lap 7 consisted of pushing to stay ahead of her though the course. She was easy to spot coming in the bright lap leader bib. Last lap was my fastest lap with all obstacles open, and I ended up in 4th place for AG. Had an amazing time with some amazing people, and can’t wait for infinity and #worldstoughestmudder 2024 has been an amazing ride so far… #medalmonday medaladdict

What a weekend! Another World’s Toughest Mudder is in the books. Officially 7 laps completed for 35 miles. Unofficially, about 45 miles done. Thank you to my sister for being my pit crew to keep me fed, hydrated, and bringing me things I need to stay warm. #MedalMonday #HeadbandMonday #WTM #WTM2023 #WorldsToughestMudder #ToughMudder
