What Inspired TMHQ to Establish Mudder Legion?

Whether you’re an avid follower of us on Facebook and Twitter or you’ve been on course in 2014, you’ve undoubtedly encountered Mudder Nation’s latest beloved buzz-phrase: Mudder Legion.

While the term, used to describe the official organization of multi-Mudders who’ve completed at least two Tough Mudders, was coined by us, it was ultimately die-hard Mudders like you who inspired us to spearhead this initiative. All we did was put a name on it.

Over the past few years, we’ve seen the same familiar faces at start lines, not only across the country but around the world. These are the Mudders who know the Mudder Pledge by heart. These are the team captains who initiate and inspire new teammates to turn their scars into stars. These are the bold souls who stay perched atop Everest as the sun dips below the horizon, opting to stay on course to ensure no Mudder gets left behind.

If you’re nodding your head, give yourself an HOORAH because it is you who encouraged us to keep our Obstacle Innovation Lab open all winter. It’s you who challenged us to create multiple daunting, new obstacles. It’s you who inspired multi-colored headbands. Most importantly, it’s you who gave the orange-bleeding heart of Mudder Legion its very first beat. And for that, we at TMHQ, on behalf of all future Mudders-to-be, thank you for your continuous display of the Mudder spirit, both on course and off.
