Awesome Venue, New Course

In 2017 we're taking things up a level for Tough Mudder North West Presented by Merrell. Cholmondeley Castle will play host to an assortment of the best mud and obstacles sure to take you to the limit of your comfort zone.


10-12 Miles, 20+ Obstacles

Rally your team and ensure they are well versed in teamwork. This course features some of the deepest, darkest mud and dense forest in all the UK and is sure to test you and your team. You're going to need to work together as one to successfully navigate this course. Oh, did we mention it will be muddy?

Parking

Parking for Yorkshire is only available for purchase online. Limited tickets may be available at an increased price on the day. Camper-vans, overnight camping, BBQs, cooking or fires will NOT be allowed in the parking area.

Get your pass here for Saturday and here for Sunday. Don't delay. Sign up for a Premium Pass for a guaranteed space within 2 minutes walk of the base area.

EVENT DAY - IMPORTANT INFORMATION

START TIMES

Start times will be emailed out to participants approximately 10 days before the event.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a new Start Time Enforcement process so please make sure you have created a team in Eventbrite more than 10 days before your event. We suggest arriving 1-hour before your
assigned start time to ensure you can check in, drop your bag, get face-marked and head to the
Warm Up area (10 min before your allocated time).

On-site participant registration will be based upon space available and be £140.

WHAT TO BRING

Ticket(s): Either print your EventBrite ticket(s) or download the EventBrite app to display your tickets on your mobile when you arrive at check-in.

Signed Waiver: All participants and spectators must sign a waiver in order to gain entry to the event. Print and sign your waiver before arriving on-site (waivers will be posted here closer to the event). This will speed up your check-in process.

Photo ID: A valid, government-issued photo ID with name, signature, photo and birth date is mandatory to verify your registration (driver’s license or passport).

Cash: Food, drink and merchandise can all be purchased with cash. ATMs will not be available in the Mudder Village and card machines can be unreliable - we strongly encourage bringing cash with you. You don't want to be left sad and hungry.

WHAT TO WEAR
Normal running shoes. Spikes or cleats are strictly prohibited.
Gloves and extra layers (if weather is cold).
Warm/dry clothing to change into after the event.
Costumes. Creativity. A sense of humor.
Sunscreen.

Optional: Hydration system filled with water, not beer.
Please arrive fully hydrated and take advantage of water stations on course.

Bag drop will be available to store your change of clothes while your run for a cost of £3 (cash only). We recommend pooling your belongings with friends or giving them to spectators where possible.

Parking

All attendees must purchase a parking pass to park on site at the event. Save time and money by purchasing your parking pass now. Quantities are limited.

Premium Parking: A guaranteed parking space in a designated parking area within a 2 minute walk of the base area. $20.00

Standard Parking: Standard Parking consists of spaces that are allocated on a first come first serve basis and is furthest from the base area. Please keep this in mind when arriving for your designated start wave. $10.00

Handicapped Parking: will be available close to Mudder Village. Ensure handicapped pass is visible.

Camping

Nothing beats waking up at the crack of dawn, rolling out of your tent and running up to the start line. This the camping area includes an exclusive bar, chill out zone and games to get you through the weekend. This ticket will allow you to camp for both Tough Mudder & Tough Mudder Half from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. (Kids 12 and under camp free. No dogs or campervans allowed.)

Spectators

Just like in a sports stadium, Tough Mudder spectators and fans energise our Mudders-- that’s why we offer discounted tickets for spectators who register before event day. Encourage Mudders as they muster the courage to run through 10,000 volts of electricity at Electroshock Therapy. Explore and enjoy our action-packed base area featuring music, refreshments, sponsor activations and exclusive Mudder Village obstacles for both participants and spectators to try out. This year, being a spectator at Tough Mudder is now nearly as exciting as running one. Children under the age of 13 will be free to get in as a spectator.

FRUIT SHOOT MINI MUDDER

Every Tough Mudder course in the US, UK & Ireland will feature a Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder course, a one-mile kid-friendly challenge. Check out the 3 new obstacles making a debut in 2016 (similar to the ones their parents try to conquer on the Tough Mudder course!) Giveaways include Fruit Shoot drinks & tattoos.

If members of the same team are assigned to different start times, the entire team is permitted to join any start time assigned to a team member.

PLEASE NOTE: Wherever possible, participants have been assigned to the closest available start time to what they requested when registering for the event. However, due to demand, participants may find that they are not in the start group time they had requested. Please do not contact us requesting a time change.
