This year’s race against the 24-hour clock takes place in sunny Central Florida, but don’t let the picturesque vacation destination fool you — this event is no walk in the park. Florida’s soft sand and sweltering heat saps your energy. On top of that, we’re planning water features that will emphasize the Sunshine State’s swampy shoe-sucking mud and put your willpower to the test. This year’s soirée in the swamp is designed with fresh dynamics, making it the perfect battleground for athletes who want to conquer the unexpected. Our advice? Pack your gaiters and watch out for gators.
2. One-of-a-Kind, Innovative Obstacles To Conquer

The Sunshine State has earned its reputation, and let’s be honest – Florida’s weather is fodder for a brutal environment. During the day, Mudders will contend with relentless heat and humidity. As night falls, cooler temperatures will offer some relief, but the challenges won’t let up. The changing conditions and endless obstacles will demand adaptability, making sure that both your body and mind stay sharp through every hour of the race (reminder, there’s 24 of them).
4. Laps That Won’t Let Up
The 24-hour format is what defines World’s Toughest Mudder and sets it apart from other OCR events. In this unique format, participants run a 5-mile lap riddled with 20+ obstacles. At the end of each lap you can rejoin your pit crew to refuel, restock, and rest up for the next round — but not for too long. Once you’re ready to go, you run another lap. The goal is to stack as many laps as your legs will allow in 24 hours to truly see what you can accomplish, by discovering and shattering the boundaries of your comfort zone.
Each lap is a grueling test of stamina, strategy, and sheer willpower. With a course expected to be both rugged and punishing, this is your chance to rack up as many laps as possible while fending off physical and mental fatigue.
