Make future you proud
Tough Mudder is a purpose-driven global community, empowering people of all abilities to transform their lives through our unconventional experiences. We believe in a world where people come together as a community to conquer their challenges and celebrate all victories, big and small.
Built on the principles of teamwork, courage, personal accomplishment and fun– we’re committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for all members of our community, including our participants, staff, volunteers and partners, to conquer obstacles, escape the ordinary, and support others along the way.
These guidelines are a core part of that commitment and apply to everyone at our events, within our challenges and in our online communities.
We are proud of the diversity of our participants, employees and wider community, and view our events, challenges and online communities as safe spaces to celebrate this diversity.
Treat everyone with respect. Everyone has the right to enjoy their experience free from, and without fear of, harassment, discrimination or abuse of any kind. We embrace irreverence, have fun and enjoy a joke – but not at the expense of other people.
We’re committed to ensuring this policy is reflected in how we conduct our business. In designing, delivering and marketing Tough Mudder experiences we’ll explicitly reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusivity and ask the same of those working with us.
There is no place in Tough Mudder for harassment, bullying or discrimination. We have a Zero Tolerance policy for this behaviour in any form including, but not limited to;
We will look into every incident observed by, or reported to, our teams and will take appropriate action.
This may involve publicly challenging behaviour, private conversations (including facilitating learning), the sharing of resources, removal from events/ experiences (without refund), bans from future involvement and/or notification of relevant authorities.
As members of the Tough Mudder community we encourage you to politely engage if you, or others, are harassed, bullied or discriminated against. Please speak up if you see or hear anything – the individuals responsible may have no idea of the harm their behaviour is causing.
If you don’t want to challenge the behaviour directly, we understand. But we ask that you please get in touch with Tough Mudder if you believe you’ve experienced, or witnessed, any breaches of this policy. Even if you don’t wish to report a specific issue we’d still value your feedback on the experience you’ve had with us, both positive and negative. This helps us understand the scale of any issues covered by this policy and the effectiveness of actions we’re taking.
