Volunteer Roles
Course Volunteer
Through encouragement and motivation, you’ll encourage Mudders to overcome their fears and work as a team to tackle our unique suite of bad-ass obstacles and hardcore terrain. You may be asked to give tips and tricks to Mudders who are trying to complete an obstacle or provide much needed nourishment at stations throughout the course.

Bag Drop Volunteer
Bag Drop is usually the final touch point that we have with Mudders before they head to the Start. As you can probably imagine the intensity and mud of the Tough Mudder experience means Mudders will need to keep their bags and possessions with you. You will be collecting payment from each Mudder, handing out numbered bag tags and organising the bags while they´re making their way around the course.

Check In Volunteer
It’s you that will be welcoming thousands of Mudders and spectators to the event. Mudders will be bursting with excitement and adrenaline and you will be able to share that energy with them. You will be using iPads to check Mudders in, assigning them personal wristbands and administering spectator access. After check in you will be helping in other areas like finish or bag drop.

Finish Volunteer
The emotion, adrenaline and pride of finishing a Tough Mudder is a feeling like no other. Every time you welcome a Mudder over the finish line you can guarantee you will experience that same epic feeling. You may be distributing snacks or water, handing out finisher t-shirts or crowning finishers with our famous headband and getting a lot of muddy hugs. As finish isn’t busy until later in the day, you may help out at registration or bag drop beforehand.

Volunteer Roles
Help Desk Volunteer
At the Help Desk you’ll be providing the best on-site customer service known to Mudderkind. At this point you might be thinking, “How will I have all the answers?”. Have no fear. We will ensure you receive a full briefing, so you can answer questions of all kinds with confidence. It is here that you will also take payments for day-of-ticket purchases.

Mudder Experience
Every team needs a jack-of-all-trades. Someone flexible who can move fluidly from task to task and jump in wherever they are needed. As a Mudder Experience Volunteer, you may be asked to help at check-in and then bounce over to the start line, or bag drop. You may be out on course and then brought in to help man the finish line. Basically, be ready for anything.

Be ready for lots of smiles, an overload of muddy cuteness from our future-generation Mudders and a truly unforgettable day. You will probably be starting your day at Check-In before you head over to Mini Mudder.

Merchandise Experience
If you’re outgoing and hardworking, a volunteer role in the Tough Mudder gear shop is for you. You’ll assist with the set-up of the shop but your main role will be making sales – you’ll chat to the Mudders and make sure they get all the kit they want so they can look the part well after the event, and can remember the day with some great souvenirs too.
