Got the kids at home and wondering how to keep them moving and get them ready to take on Lidl Mudder, Tough Mudder’s children’s obstacle course? We’ve got you covered with Born Barikor’s fun Lidl Mudder themed ideas, perfect for an at home workout in the garden.
Need for Speed
The best speed work exercise is sprints, but these don’t have to be boring. Instead of just running to the end of your garden and back, why not include a slide. Get those Lidl Mudders building up some speed and see if they can make it the top. Give it a few goes, but try to improve your time for each one.
Jump Around
Jumping is a great exercise to get everyone involved. Lay down side by side and take turns to run and jump over everyone. The more people involved, the harder it is, but we recommend building up gradually.
Tired Yet?
Simple exercises such as running on the spot, high knees and star jumps work best for this. Make it more fun by seeing who can make the biggest star, or jump the highest.
Hanging Out
We don’t all have the arm strength of Born, but if you reckon you could handle your Lidl Mudders hanging off you, feel free to give it a go. Otherwise, find a sturdy tree branch, or maybe uncover the climbing frame from its winter hideout to help with this one.
Enter The Hulk
One of Born’s favourites, the classic push up is an easy one to each. If it’s too difficult for your Lidl Mudders to do full push ups, they can drop their knees and build up over time.
Obstacle Training
Here’s your chance to get creative. Move some furniture around and see what you can come up with. Try and come up with a few different options to include crawls, climbs and even teamwork if you can.
Wacky Racers
Feel free to use some of the old classics, or mix it up and get your Lidl Mudders to come up with their own fun races. A wheelbarrow race is definitely something that they might come across on the Lidl Mudder course, and is great for teamwork. Remember to switch halfway so each Mudder gets the chance to be the wheelbarrow and the driver.
