Believe us when we say we’re bringing a new meaning to tough this year. We’re going deeper, colder and harder than before in these obstacle updates.
Previously, we teased some updates and changes we’re making on the course to give you a better and tougher experience. Well, here’s the scoop for our initial events at Finsbury Park and London West.
Don’t worry, that’s not all. You didn’t get off that lightly. We’ll be unveiling more updates for later in the year very soon. Stay tuned.
1. Catch Me Slidin’ Dirty
We won’t bullsh*t you. Slidin’ Dirty will return for 2023.
After the love shown to it’s debut and test at London South 2022, we couldn’t refuse it’s return.
If you weren’t lucky enough to try it at London South, stay tuned as to where it might land this year. It could be coming to a Tough Mudder near you. Here’s what you missed and what you can look forward to.
2. Rock Down To Electric Avenue
For some, it’s a fan favourite. For others, it’s a nightmare.
We’re adding fuel to that nightmare by adding more wires to Electroshock Therapy. That means, if you’ve ever got through this obstacle without being shocked before, think again.
More wires at mixed lengths will be a shocking new obstacle update for Mudders in 2023.
Confirmed Events: Finsbury Park and London West.
3. Did You Want Ice With That?
Almost as cold as your ex. We’re upping the anti with Arctic Enema by adding more ice.
Even polar bears would wince at the sight of this.
Scared of these obstacle updates yet?
Confirmed Events: Finsbury Park and London West.
4. Bring Out Your Inner Cheerleader
Here’s your chance to live out a High School Musical dream.
We’re removing the cleat from Pyramid Scheme so you’ll really need to be making a pyramid to conquer this obstacle.
Notoriously tough and tactical, Pyramid Scheme just got tougher.
Confirmed Events: Finsbury Park and London West.
5. Does It Count If It’s Just The Tip?
An age old question, asked by many.
We’re putting some more respect on Just The Tip by updating the climbing holds.
This obstacle will be returning to the UK course this year after a minor hibernation. Think you can handle the tip?
Confirmed Events: Finsbury Park and London West.
6. The Wetter, The Better
Another nightmare fuelling obstacle is getting some upgrades. Not just one change, but three. Both making the Cage Crawl obstacle experience more intense and akin to an escape to glory. Move over Nicolas, this is going to be the best cage you’ve ever seen.
Firstly, we’re adding mop heads to the top of the cage to give you a splash and splatter on your face. We wouldn’t you drying up down there. Treat this as motivation. Don’t want to be splatted in the face by the mop, move quicker.
Secondly, we’re adding tubing below the cage to bob and weave around. It’d be too simple to just crawl straight through. You’re going to have to work to get through this one.
Lastly, we’re raising the water level in this obstacle. More water equals nowhere to hide.
Confirmed Events: Finsbury Park and London West.
7. Where Have Your Hands Been?
Another return to the UK course this year, Hanging Tough is back and it’s better than ever.
Thought it was hard last time? Think again. We’re adding different grips and hand holds through the obstacle to complicate momentum and really test Mudders when they try to get in the swing of things.
Fancy a plot twist? Some rings will have bungees added to them to test reactions and balance.
We can’t wait to see the photos from this one.
Confirmed Events: Finsbury Park and London West.
