It’s no secret on the Tough Mudder grapevine that North West is hands down the muddiest venue on the calendar – and honestly, who’s arguing? No one. That’s exactly why our pals at Isuzu rolled in with their Mud Master to help keep things running smoothly. Just like Isuzu trucks are built to tackle the roughest terrain, Tough Mudder participants rely on grit, guts, and a whole lot of perseverance to get through the course. This year was no different. 1. Friends who mud together, stay together.

2. The muddy no escape
At Cage Crawl, there’s no escape from the muddy waters. With only a couple of inches between your nose and the obstacle frame, a lot of guts is needed on this one.
3. The slip and slide
Those of you that took on either the 15K or 15K course will know this section of the route very well: the climb up to Block Ness Monster. Plenty of hilarious face plant moments were observed at this point. This guy just about made it to Block Ness Monster standing (just).
4. The gasp
What’s worse than muddy water? The ice cold muddy water of Arctic Enema.
5. The grin and bear it
This image screams “I promise I’m having the time of my life”, whilst coated in the mud from the neck down.
Whether you were knee-deep in the mud or just there to witness the madness, Tough Mudder North West delivered the dirt yet again.
