Exploring Scotland’s Hopetoun Estate
You won’t want to miss being the first Mudders to traverse the scenic shores at Scotland’s Hopetoun Estate this spring. Whether you’re taking on our 5K course or going a bit longer, each kilometre will offer jaw-dropping views and unexpected terrain. You’ll pick your way along the uneven shores of the Firth of Forth with the Hills of Fife looming in the background and drop in and out of shallow water as wet sand attempts to suck your energy.
This venue is not only a bucket-list location with panoramic views – it also offers some of our most versatile terrain. Its shoreline situation provides perfect conditions for massive amounts of mud, and you’ll wind through woodland trails, shifting gears on a dime.
Plus, with Spartan races going down on the property the day after, it’s the perfect opportunity to turn a family getaway into a muddy obstacle fest.

With a shorter event and a longer option on the lineup, you’ll want to grab your whole squad for our first year at this Tough Mudder Scotland venue. Choose from our 5K format with 12+ obstacles or a 15K with 20+ obstacles, and if you’re feeling extra ambitious, sign up for a Spartan Sprint, Super, or Beast race the following day for twice the mud, sweat, and tears.
