How Scotland is Tougher in 2023

Hey, mudders. It’s time to get hyped because Scotland is just one month away😱 We can’t wait to see all of your muddy faces at the starting line.

But let’s get real for a moment. We’ve made some adjustments to our obstacles to make them even tougher, so prepare to dig deep and push yourself to the limit. Don’t worry, we won’t ask you to swim across Loch Ness, but we might just blow your kilts off with the intensity of what’s to come.

So lace up those shoes, train hard, and get ready to show Scotland what you’re made of.

We’re in for an epic adventure, and we can’t wait to share it with you all:

Electric Eel

We’ve added a whole new layer of difficulty with additional wires that you’ll need to dodge and weave through. So put on your bravest face and get ready to take on this electrifying challenge. Electric Eel awaits, and it’s up to you to show it who’s boss 👊

Kiss of Mud

We’ve lowered the height of the wires on the “Kiss of Mud” to just 350mm from the ground. This means you’ll have to stay extra low, push your limits, and power through to make it to the finish line. So get ready to dig deep, stay focused, and give it all you’ve got. The challenge is on – let’s go, go, go 👊

Hangin’ Tough

Hangin’ Tough is every gymnast’s dream and every regular athlete’s nightmare. Similar to the Funky Monkey, you swing eight feet and grab hold of the greased rings. Start standing on the wooden platform, grab your first ring, and proceed across 25 feet.

Creek Crusade

In this obstacle, participants must navigate through a muddy creek bed that is filled with various obstacles, including logs, boulders, and uneven terrain. To complete the obstacle, participants must use their balance, agility, and strength to maneuver through the creek bed while avoiding falling or getting stuck in the mud.

World’s Toughest Road Show

Scotland will be the 2nd event that we have had wildcard obstacles from The World’s Toughest Road Show. We welcome Dingleberries and Dublin Walls to the course.

Dingleberries
This obstacle requires participants to climb across a wall covered in hanging ropes. This can get tricky so be careful not to get too tangled up in the ropes😉 Completing this obstacle requires a combination of upper body strength, agility, and balance.

Dublin Walls
Think Hero Walls but much TOUGHER. This obstacle consists of a series of wooden walls, typically about 8 feet high, that participants must climb over.
