Welcome to the Puzzle Piece Challenge: a 25-piece scavenger hunt scattered across the Mudderverse. This isn’t just a warm-up. It’s the ultimate pre-race side quest, designed to test your curiosity, your commitment, and your screenshotting skills – all before you even step onto the start line.
What Is It?
Some call it a game. Some call it a conspiracy. We call it brilliant.
The WTM Puzzle Piece Challenge is a fragmented course map (25 pieces in total) hidden in unexpected places. Your mission is simple: Find the pieces. Piece them together. Unlock the course map. But don’t expect to find them all in one tidy location. That would be far too easy.
Where to Find the Pieces
We’ve stashed puzzle pieces across the Mudderverse like a breadcrumb trail from hell. Keep your eyes peeled in:
- Tough Mudder events – look around, ask questions, trust no one
- Your inbox – those emails you almost deleted? Might want to check again
- Social media – posts, reels, stories… even the comments might be hiding clues
- Our partners – they’re in on the chaos, and some of them have pieces
- Online content – blogs, pages, and other corners of the internet we probably shouldn’t tell you about
Pro tip: Turn on post notifications. Scroll like your race depends on it. Because it kind of does.
What To Do When You Find One
Got a piece? Nice work. Now here’s what to do with it:
- Screenshot it – digital proof is key
- Post it to the WTM Community Page – that’s your official stash spot and bragging rights board
- Use the hashtag #WTMpuzzle – because what’s a hunt without a bit of showboating?
- Keep going – one piece down, 24 to go
No pressure. But the sooner you complete the map, the sooner you get a proper look at the course you’re about to face. And let’s just say… it’s not for the faint-hearted.

The full map? It’s classified. Confidential. Top secret. Eyes only. You get the idea. Only those who complete the puzzle get to see what’s waiting at the castle. And even then, it might raise more questions than answers…
