After hustling toward a strong finish with your crew, here are the top 5 things to do to unwind, plus a cheeky little obstacle preview.
These are the top things to do around your Tough Mudder event, to make the very most of your weekend.
TOP THINGS TO DO NEAR SOUTH EAST
1. Spartan South East (The same venue)
That’s right, no additional travel needed. Spartan hits Pippingford Park on the 5th and 6th of October. If you’re brave enough, try your luck and take on a Tough Mudder and Spartan in the South East.
Sheffield Park and Garden has something for everyone from magnificent landscape gardens and lakes to the rolling parkland and woodland play trail.
2. Heaven Farm (12 mins drive from venue)
A family run farm in the heart of Sussex. Heaven Farm has a beautiful nature trail along 100 acres of woodland. They also offer camping on their beautiful site and also including couples only camping in their more secluded spots for a quiet, relaxing get-away in the Sussex countryside.
3. The Lavender Line (18 mins drive from venue)
The Lavender Line is a heritage railway based at the restored Victorian station of Isfield near Lewes in East Sussex. It is has been operated and maintained almost entirely by volunteers since 1993. It is open to the public for one mile train rides on most Sundays and bank holiday Mondays and hosts special events and functions at other times.
4. Nutley Windmill (6 mins drive from venue)
Come and see the oldest, only working open-trestle post mill in the country. Set in the beautiful landscape of Ashdown Forest, East Sussex. Nutley Windmill is a very fine example of the oldest post mill design, known in the country since the 12th Century.
5. British Wildlife Centre (25 mins from venue)
There are over 40 native species at the centre and the animals are housed in large enclosures landscaped to reflect natural habitats. You will have the opportunity to see up-close rarely seen species.
Fancy A Tease?
Of course you do. Well, you’re in the right place and you made it to the bottom of this blog so we’ll treat you.
We’re looking at creating a SHOCKING start to the season at South East, perhaps 10,000 volts will do. Get ready for Electroshock Therapy
You’ll also be living your best Ratatouille life (and you don’t have to be in Paris) as we’ll be dunking some Sewer Rats.
Be sure to bring some tissues too, not for any cuts or scrapes, but for you…being a Cry Baby.
And lastly, you’ll see it from miles away so it won’t really be a surprise but be ready to saddle up for Mudderhorn.
Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
