Be Comfortable
This goes for participants and spectators. Whether you’re tackling the course or playing cheerleader for the day, we recommend that you’re comfortable in what you’re wearing. You’ll be battling all kinds of terrain on and off the course and British weather always loves a plot twist. So, be confident in comfort for your muddy day.
In terms of actual clothing, you’ll be going through mud, sweat, and probably a couple of beers after. Gym gear and activewear is the common go to and definitely the smart move to endure the stretches, crawling, jumping etc around the course.

Don’t Dress To Impress
We’ve seen mudders dressed in suits and dresses before, but this usually marks a special occasion, or they’re nutters.
Do not be worried about being underdressed, unless you’re naked, and this isn’t allowed. We’ve made that rule so you don’t get mud in your you know what.
Be Prepared For A Deep Clean
Probably an obvious point but the clothes you choose to wear on an event day are in for a dirty bashing.
We’ve seen a fair few shoes, socks and other items written off from our events. If you’re devoted enough though, you can bring any bit of clothing back from the brink. Prepare for a good wash and scrub post event though.
With all of this in mind, we’d suggest you do not wear your finest clothes or the new jumper your nan got you for Christmas. Don’t risk that disappointment on her face.
