Three Fold’s Three Tips for Taking On Everest

It could be argued that all the best things come in threes, things like, the number of members in Destiny’s Child or ingredients in a BLT and that’s why Three Fold’s Hard Seltzers have three ingredients (natural fruit flavour, sparking water and 4% alcohol), three flavours (Red Berries, Citrus & Tropical) and they are gluten free, vegan and 93 calories.

Three Fold, our official finisher drink partner, certainly believe in the power of three. That’s why they’re sponsoring the Everest Obstacle at Tough Mudder, because guess what? A mountain has three sides, in fact a triangle is believe to be the strongest shape (who knew?). Keeping the power of three in mind, here are Three Fold’s three top tips for taking on and conquering Everest.

1. On The Count Of Three

Coordination is key on an obstacle like Everest. If it’s your turn to attempt a summit and your team (or strangers) are waiting at the peak to grab you we recommend counting down, “One, two, three,” as loudly as possible. This way they know you’re coming and you have three whole seconds to prepare yourself.

2. Three Isn’t a Crowd

All Tough Mudder obstacles are built with teamwork in mind but Everest is almost impossible to complete without the help of other Mudders. As you see the obstacle approach it might be worth gathering your team and making a plan of action. Are there people who feel confident they can reach the top? Let them go first so they can help others. Are other people convinced they won’t make it? They’ll need at least two people at the top to haul them up and a third behind them can provide an extra boost.

3. Once, Twice, Three Times a Mudder

Standing atop of Everest looking out over the course feels pretty great right? Just don’t let the adrenaline send you running on without a look back to those still trying to make their way. It’s time to pay it back. Stop, hang an arm over the edge and try to help at least three people conquer Everest before you move on to your next challenge.
