Tough Mudder's Cousin In the City
In 2018 Tough Mudder is bringing its brand new city-based event to Clapham Common in South London on both Friday night and Saturday. Waiting for you will be 5 kilometres worth of awesome obstacles along with a bunch of street food, craft beer and party vibes. Clapham Common has never seen anything like this before.
Want to start the weekend early? Tough Mudder will be staying up late on Friday evening, giving you and your mates the chance to tackle a mix of classic and brand new obstacles at night. And when you’re done? Hop on the tube, or take a bus home. No mud, no mess - no stress.

Tough Mudder TM5K Event Day
This might be a new look for Tough Mudder but our core values are the still same and you’re gonna need a team to see you over our obstacles. Make sure you create your team no later than two weeks before the event (two Monday’s prior) to ensure your friends and family head out on course at the same as you.

Can I run with my friends/family?
Absolutely, Tough Mudder is all about teamwork and running as part of a team is all part of the fun. When you register online, select your preferred start time window (your final start time will be emailed to you 1 week before the event), and make sure you register yourselves as an official team at least 1 week before the event. Start times are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Please arrive 45 minutes before your assigned start time (which you will receive via email 1 week before your event) to ensure you can check in, drop your bag, and head towards the start line in plenty of time. Start times will be strictly enforced so don’t be late.
If your friends and family register separately, ensure they select the same start time window and ensure they are added to our official team.

If it’s hot, suncream is a necessity. No matter what the weather is, make sure to come hydrated and take advantage of water stations on course.
If you don’t plan on traveling home muddy, you’ll probably want to bring a change of clothes. Stop by the bag drop tent to store your belongings while you’re on course. £3 cash or contactless, proceeds go to our charity partner Help for Heroes.
We’re in London folks. Getting to Tough Mudder has never been so easy.
Public transport links around Clapham Common are awesome. You can get the tube from central London to Clapham Common in under 20 minutes (Northern Line). Clapham Junction (Overground & mainline trains) are also less than a mile away from the Common. Local bus routes also run regularly. You can plan your route at the TFL website.
Once you arrive at the Common, signage or volunteers will be available to help you find your way to the event village – located only a short walk from all the stations mentioned above.
There will be no parking organised by Tough Mudder for TM5K events. There may be local parking available but it’s your responsibility to find and organise parking if needed.
Yeah, you read that right – spectators get in for FREE at Tough Mudder 5K events. That means your mum, dad, partner, the entire extended family and your next door neighbour can all come and experience the excitement of Mudder Village and cheer you on.
What’s more, all the most exciting obstacles will be within touching distance of Mudder Village, so there’s no chance of them missing you (or not taking enough photos). Plus they can enjoy the street food and a few drinks to celebrate as well.
The Tough Mudder 5K course will circle around the Mudder Village so that all your friends and family can see you tackle all the best obstacles. The obstacles will be evenly spaced around the course so you won't have to run continuously for very long.
Here's an example of what one of our Tough Mudder 5K courses will look like:
